The lowdown on NEW Sheer Skin Tint™ SPF 15

|

Make up-skincare hybrids are the best of both worlds; giving you the look you want while taking care of your complexion. With this in mind, we wanted to give Sheer Skin Tint™ SPF 15 a makeover and add naturally active ingredients at levels that really make a difference to skin.

Sarah Carr, our Lifestyle Ambassador, is already a fan: “I’m in love with the new formula, knowing that while I’m enjoying buildable coverage and the amazing glow of Sheer Skin Tint™ SPF 15, my skin is being looked after too. It’s like having multiple products in one, which is so convenient – it won’t be leaving my make up bag in a hurry.”

What does it do?
Our creamy, yet lightweight and silicone-free complexion perfector visibly smoothes, brightens and evens skin tone. The formula reduces the appearance of fine lines and imperfections to leave skin looking flawless, radiant and dewy, while offering mineral UV SPF 15 protection.

Tell me about the naturally active ingredients
‘The beauty of make up, the benefits of skincare’ really does sum up this product – it sits as part of our Colour range, while working in harmony with our skincare philosophy. The naturally active ingredients that make Sheer Skin Tint™ SPF 15 so special include avocado and borage seed oils to moisturise, promoting smoothness and softness; plus Alaria esculenta extract to leave skin looking revitalised and feeling firmer.

How can I prep my skin?
You can use Sheer Skin Tint™ SPF 15 at any time, but we prefer applying to clean, moisturised skin – your 3-step routine really is the ideal base for make up. Begin with Cleanse & Polish™ Hot Cloth Cleanser to smooth and remove all traces of daily grime; follow with Instant Boost™ Skin Tonic, which acts a bit like a primer to prepare skin to absorb your moisturiser; then apply Skin Repair™ Moisturiser.

How do I use Sheer Skin Tint™ SPF 15?
Apply over your forehead, cheeks, nose and chin, blending with your fingertips. We have three shades to choose from: Bare 01, to suit alabaster to fair complexions; Beige 02, for ivory to medium complexions; and Beach 03, to suit sun-tanned to olive complexions. To create your own perfect match, you can mix two or more shades together.

Top tip: For fuller coverage with a warm wash of colour, blend together a pearl-size amount of Sheer Skin Tint™ Bronzing Fluid and Sheer Skin Tint™ SPF 15 and apply.

  • I’m afraid I’m teally disappointed in the new formula. It has a strange smell, it’s too runny so you waste quite a bit as too much comes out the tube. I also feel it slightly tingly around my eyes and my skin isn’t usually sensitive. I actually thought I had a tube that was “off” so I took it back to Boots, where they explained this was just the new formula!
I’ve been wearing this product for a couple of years and loved it, but I’m afraid I’ll now be looking for an alternative 🙁

    • I totally agree. Since I discovered Liz Earle products six years ago I have been a VERY happy woman. So happy that Liz Earle is with me from morning to night. I don’t need nor want to use anything else but really like above I can’t get my head around the new Sheer Skin Tint.It certainly is runny .It doesn’t seem to “melt” into my skin like before and the colour has changed.I used to use Beige doesn’t match anymore so I had to go to Bare. Not really fantastic and I don’t like the idea of mixing colours. On top of “the routine” this takes time and will not be even unless you make up a dose in a jar which is no fun. So what to do?I am not quite sure.Have I missed out on something? If so someone please advise.
THANK YOU and Liz Earle I still miss the eye shadows!
