Kiss winter lips goodbye!

|

The drying effects of winter on the skin is one of beauty’s biggest battlegrounds, especially when it comes to our lips. Unlike hands that can be protected by warm gloves, or hair that might be sheltered by a cosy hat, our lips constantly have to combat the cold, which is why I’m never without my carefully curated lipcare routine. Hopefully it can help you too!

Tend to lips with a toothbrush
While it may not sound like an obvious choice for lipcare, it actually works wonders. If I find my lips start to flake, I take a soft toothbrush and gently buff it across my lips in a circular motion. This helps to lift away dead skin cells to leave lips super smooth, and also means my Superbalm™ is able to sink in properly, rather than sitting on the surface. Just make sure the toothbrush and your lips are dry before buffing – it’s harder to remove dry skin when wet as it becomes soft and harder to spot. Alternatively, use a clean muslin cloth to gently exfoliate your way to smoothness.

Soothe with Superbalm
I don’t go anywhere without my hero balm! Just like a protective piece of clothing, Superbalm™ helps condition lips in biting winds and chilly temperatures. Made from pure plant oils and natural waxes, plus shea butter and vitamin E, it gently softens and soothes lips, returning them to their full glory.

Protect with a pop of colour
Finally, for the days when I fancy a pop of colour to boost my mood and perk up my complexion, I’ll always reach for Sheer Lip Gloss. My go-to shade is Cherry, it’s a perfect hint of sheer red that’s perfect to wear alone or over your favourite lipstick.
