Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare blog

Over the decades since we launched Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, you’ve voted for it in your thousands across customer and reader awards, testimonials via our stores and website and by phone – and it’s the top ‘recommend to a friend’ skincare essential in the Liz Earle range. Every 23 seconds, a C&P (as it’s affectionately known) whizzes out of our door… we now ship to over half the globe (imagine all the various climates and differing skin types and needs across the world!) and we’re close to hitting the magic 100 for the number of awards and accolades that our skincare icon has scored. You have helped elevate this humble cleanser to true iconic status. ‘How did we ever manage without it?’, quipped some key beauty editors when I met them recently.

So, to delight our loyal C&P devotees with a little surprise, we came up with a new twist on Cleanse & Polish which has the same precious formula, but a clever spin on the aroma. Cleanse & Polish Grapefruit & Patchouli Limited Edition launched in September and instantly became a huge hit, boasting the same key cleansing benefits of its original cousin, but fragranced with a deliciously energising blend of grapefruit and patchouli, as well as nine other essential oils (orange peel, lemon peel, mandarin orange, Virginian cedarwood, lavandin, rosemary, spearmint, clove leaf and vanilla absolute). Perfect for energising and enlivening the senses, this irresistible limited edition sold out very quickly, in fact, even faster than we expected. This meant many of you missed your chance to discover it, so now, just in time for Christmas, we’ve got a special surprise to make it up to you… Cleanse & Polish Grapefruit & Patchouli Limited Edition is back!

So whether you’d love to secure one as a Christmas gift for a girlfriend or daughter (particularly if they missed out first time around), or simply experience a very special twist on our cult-classic for yourself… now’s your chance! I for one am thrilled it’s back, and will be setting aside a pump or two for January – the zesty, refreshing aroma is perfect for the new year! One thing’s for sure, our comeback cleanser won’t be around for long and this time once it’s gone, it really has gone… so make sure you don’t miss out!

Thank you for your loyalty, your love for C&P and your feedback. Do share your passion on our Facebook pages – you never know, maybe we’ll see another twist on C&P in the future? Watch this space… Remember, we are led by you – what you demand, we develop!

Enjoy your enlivening new way to cleanse – I love it!

    Hi Caroline

Whilst I can appreciate everything you have said I am confused by this statement

**Remember, we are led by you – what you demand, we develop**.

You said the above cleanse and polish sold out faster than you expected and you must surely have seen all of the feedback about this product on your Facebook page, so come on, BRING THIS BACK AS A FOREVER PRODUCT!!!

    PRETTY PLEASE xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Caroline, can I take this opportunity to ask again for a Men’s Fragrance Botanical Essence? Or at the very least a truly unisex one? Every year I hope for one but it never seems to happen!

I agree! This would be amazing! However from a business stand point they would need to ensure that the male customer base out there would be big enough to warrant a male targeted fragrance, it wouldn’t make sense for them to do it unless they thought it was going to sell as well as the other ones.

The male range whilst good, is limited, which says to me that the male market are either pinching their wives/ female freinds, simply happy to buy the standard line, or not buying/aware of LE at all.

I personally have never used anything as good as LE. I was introduced to the range aged 10 in the late 90′s. My mum was one of those women tuning in to see Liz on her very first QVC show and she has been a fan ever since. I have been impressed with the advances and new additions to the ranges and lines in recent years and the up coming Bath and Body collection is looking to be another fantastic one!

I hope in time that in this era of the metrosexual, men everywhere cotton on to LE and its amazing effects so you are able to release more male targeted products and ranges.

P.S keep up the good work on QVC Caroline! I love your passion and devotion to the company, its message and products – I couldn’t imagine a better spokes person that a fellow customer and lover of all things LE!
