Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare blog

Last week was a busy one for me – on Thursday, I presented some mini slots on QVC at 9am and 10pm, with a talk in our King's Road shop in-between. I love hearing your messages during the shows – there is always such a variety of questions, suggestions and feedback that I can hardly wait to come off-air and will often rush off the set to jot down your feedback and my own thoughts on your comments. I thought that you'd like to know that all your suggestions are fed back to our Customer Care team on the island – whenever and however you tell us, in our shops, online, on the phone or via QVC – and we do then look to develop new products based on your suggestions and requests.

In fact, I was chatting to Kim before Christmas after one of our talks and she was telling me how she'd been doing some archiving in her office and had found one of the original monthly 'customer product requests' forms – interestingly, all the products that we now have available for you were there, in their infancy. Requests included: a soft, nourishing balm to calm and soothe dry, chapped skin; a delicious smelling body cream using hard-working botanicals to enrich dry body skin – ring any bells?! Our talk last week in the King's Road shop was another great chance to hear current customer requests afresh – foot treatments and haircare appear to be the favourites at the moment. I was also reading everyone's comments on our Facebook page and was delighted to see that someone had posted a discussion asking what products everyone would like us to launch next – other people responded with some really great ideas. Keep your eyes peeled for some exciting new product launches this year!…

I just wanted to ask you here, if you are a regular QVC fan, is there anything that you'd like to see more of in our shows? What do you enjoy most? Please do let me know what you'd like to see more of – I would love to hear your thoughts… Thank you too for your kind emails. I am really enjoying hosting some of the QVC shows and your support is really encouraging.

Keep warm and don't forget that Gentle Face Exfoliator is also a great skin reviver for those dreaded flaky skin patches, at this time of the year. Roll on the spring!

    Hi Mark
    Thanks for your enquiry.
We don’t currently have any plans to package our Liz Earle For Men Cleanse & Polish in a 200ml tube but will certainly pass your suggestion on for future consideration – in the meantime if you prefer to use a tube you can indeed use our original 200ml Cleanse & Polish tube which will deliver the same great results.
We hope this helps but please do contact our customer care team on 01983 813999 if you would like any further advice.

I would like to see bigger sizes for the Mens range, including Cleanse and Polish. I did however go into John Lewis recentley and asked if there were any bigger sizes for the mens Cleanse and Polish, and the assistant said that I should buy the 200m size of the normal as they are no different, is this the case?.

Dear Janette – it’s great to hear how much you love our products.
There aren’t any current plans to stock the Vital Oil Body Sprays in our John Lewis outlets, but we’ll certainly pass your suggestion on. If you are ever in the area, why not pop into our London flagship store just off the King’s Road, where we do stock the Vital Oils range, to smell the various fragrances and choose your favourite. You can get directions on our website here ( http://uk.lizearle.com/index_2.php?userpage=londonshoplocation ).
If you can’t travel into London, we hope the following descriptions help:
Our Bliss Vital Oils Body Spray contains calming lavender essential oil and patchouli to help calm nerves and banish stress.
Harmony has refreshing citrus notes to refresh and lift the spirits. It contains uplifting grapefruit, stress reducing neroli and also rosemary and pine for mental clarity.
Comfort, on the other hand has warming, woody elements to relax and unwind. It also includes soothing cedarwood and calming cypress, restoring myrtle and deeply relaxing vetiver and comforting vanilla. Unfortunately our Comfort Body Spray is out of stock at the moment, but this aromatic blend does also come in a relaxing, skin-softening bath oil, as do Bliss and Harmony.

I would really like to see larger sizes available in the body washes. (Pump action half litres would be good) With all my family using these in shower and bath it is a full time job keeping them in stock – th 200ml size seems to last no time at all.

    Hi,
Just to say a quick thank you. I was lucky enough to win the prize draw at the kings road store and treated my mum to the facial and massage. Just to say she absolultely loved it and is still raving about it two weeks on. She is now a convert and am sure she will take the opportunity to treat herself next time she visits london.
Thanks again (and special thanks to the therapist) for a very special experience.
    Kate

    Hi,
I love the face and body products but have never tried the vital oils and would love to smell them before I buy. I went to John Lewis in Kingston before Christmas to see if there was a tester, but they said they didn’t sell them. Any chance you can get them in the stores so we can try out the fragrances?

Hi Claire – it was great to hear how beneficial our products have been for your skin.
We do generally recommend using our Superskin Concentrate at night under your moisturiser as this can help to balance an oilier complexion, however if you are finding this too rich you may like to try a layer of Smoothing Line Serum instead which helps plump up fine lines and can be used all over face, not just around the eyes. Our Smoothing Line Serum contains echinacea, grapeseed extract and natural source Vitamin E, which moisturise and smooth, helping to discourage the visible signs of ageing. Just to let you know, we don’t use collagen as it tends to be animal derived.
    Best wishes,
    Andrea

    Hi Julie
We are really sorry about our price increase, but the costs of the botanical ingredients that are vital to our products have been steadily increasing over the last 9 months. We have held off for as long as possible and have been making savings in other areas, but we now have to put the new prices into effect. We haven’t taken this decision lightly, and assure you that we remain committed to providing you with a range of pampering affordable treats everyday. We hope that by giving a little prior notice regarding our price increase that it at least gives everyone the opportunity to stock-up on their favourite products before the new prices take effect on the 2nd March.
    Best wishes,
    Andrea

    Hi all,
I’ve been using LE for about 6 years now and it’s worked wonders for my breakout skin. I’m now 30 and sadly starting to show the first signs of aging. Is there any way some kind of serum could be added to the range to use under the moisturiser perhaps with red tea an collagen extracts? I find the superskin range a bit too rich at the moment but do need a little help with the initial signs of those blummin crow’s feet!!

Hi Caroline I purchased my TSV brilliant purchase. I watch every show when you & Liz are on QVC and if I cannot I record and view later. I would love to see more demonstrations & tips on how to use the lovely products, love watching Debbie & Dee but where have they gone? you can see their dedication to the brand. I would also like to see a TSV of all body products ie Energising body wash, Energising Hip & Thigh Gel, Botanical Body Cream, they are my preferred body products & if you could just squeeze in Energising Body scrub that would be an added bonus, just love these products my daily routine. Also just one more little thing, is Liz going to continue with the different body washes you could purchase x3 I thought it was brilliant.

I love your products, but am a little saddened to see that there will be a price increase in March 2009. Everyone is finding things difficult at the moment and I am sure that everyone is trying to watch what they spend. You say it is due to rising costs of raw materials. Surely you are able to say with your buying power that you will not accept any price increases at present as you cannot pass them on. Also amybe you could reduce the printing of books etc to help keep costs down. Every little helps and it would be a shame if customers/Fans of Liz Earle products feel they have to cut back on their little luxuries to help make ends meet. – Very sad.

I love your products and enjoy watching Liz Earle QVC shows. There is something always to learn from techniques and to listening to other peoples comments. Please Caroline could we have a face moisturiser with added sunscreen. I love the eye repair with the added sunscreen to protect the skin around the delicate eye area. Thank you again the wonderful products!

    Hi Caroline
As Beverley said I always learn something when either Liz or yourself is on air. I would love to see some more mens’ products and maybe a mens TSV with all the range and a wash bag!!?
One product that I would love to see is a mens body scrub in the fragrance of the mens face and body wash – it would be fantastic.
The whole range is fantastic though, I have tried many ranges but never found anything that works as well as the LE range.
Keep up the good work – your customer care is the best out there!!

The best days on QVC are Liz Earle/Caroline days they are very encouraging and informative I learn something each time and record each show so I will not miss anything.
I especially love the days when the QVC presenter has fun and relaxes with Liz or yourself.
Claire’s idea on the beauty therapist is exactly what I was hoping for as I will never be at the London store to experience the signature facial but know I would learn the techniques when watching the show.
I am so excited with the prospect of new product launches, hopefully a few pretty cosmetic bags this year :)
I love to shop directly but would support your day on QVC giving us the truth about skincare, without confusing me!

    Hi Caroline
I regularly watch you and Liz on QVC and love the shows. I also think it would be great to have a therapist on air so we can see how to use the products and get even
    more tips.

    Hi Caroline,
I’m a regular QVC viewer(especially when either Liz or yourself are on) you asked what we would like to see.
I wonder if it would be possible to have one of your beauty therapists on the show, who could show us some facial routines and also give us some hints and tips for ways to use the products.
Can’t wait to see what the new launches will be this year (no doubt they will be a lovely addition to the range).
Keep up the good work and thanks to everyone at Liz Earle.
    Take care,

    Hi Caroline
I would really love it if you brought out a quick make up wipe which cleanses, tones and moisturises. I have been using other brands but would really be happier using my usual products from you. The wipes are so handy for cleansing last thing at night when you feel tired. They are also so handy for travelling.
