Happy New Year to everyone!
Despite the cold weather outside, we’re busy and back in action in our home, The Green House, on the Isle of Wight. It’s already buzzing with activity as we have lots of plans for the coming months – we’re sure you’ll be pleased with what we have in store…. Those first few days back to work can be difficult though. I find that the best way to get rid of that sluggish ‘back to work’ feeling is to introduce more of the energising elements into my skincare routine, especially first thing in the morning! Even if the weather’s cold, you can achieve a super, daily glow with a few simple additions…
I like to really get going first thing in the morning with our deliciously aromatic Energising Body Wash. It’s such a clever ‘cheat’ to get me feeling glowing from head to toe, in no time –and with naturally derived foaming agents (from soap bark, corn and coconut), it’s also very skin-friendly either as a bath or shower gel. And my top tip for if you’re considering taking up more exercise this year is to try following the body wash – once you’re towelled dry – with Energising Hip & Thigh Gel. An amazing combination of traditionally-used, stimulating ingredients such as horse chestnut, gingko biloba and butcher’s broom will have all those problem areas feeling as if they’ve had a wonderful work-out.
Do let us know your tips and suggestions too, to help keep up with your New Year Resolutions. How do you start the New Year? Do any of you detox, for instance? My colleague Dee swears by it each January. By the way, I look forward to seeing you on QVC today (at 11am, 5pm and 8pm – as well as some mini slots on other shows during the day). I always love sharing my tips and thoughts on QVC and now I can read yours on our newly-launched Facebook page, which is just wonderful. We are all hooked on it at work, we love seeing your faces too and your comments are so welcome. Facebook is such a great way for you to stay in touch with what’s happening with us, from our latest news and offers to behind the scenes photos and even a few sneak previews! So stay tuned on the Facebook page for more exciting news, and I look forward to seeing you on QVC later today.
Happy energising!

Thank you Andrea
Your reply has been very helpful as I didn’t equate enzyme exfoliation similar to a chemical peel as this is something I would never think of for my type of skin.
I really appreciate this advice and am more than happy to continue with your recommendations with my Liz Earle products. I have learned a lot from your reply.

Hi Beverley
We would recommend gently exfoliating the skin on a daily basis and we believe that using our Cleanse & Polish, twice daily, combined with our muslin cloth is the best way to do this. However you are quite right that you do need ‘something extra’ from time to time which is why we suggest a deeper exfoliation a couple of times a week.
Our Gentle Face Exfoliator is ideal for fine, sensitive skin and was designed to help maintain the skin’s natural cycle of cell renewal, leaving the skin smoother and more evenly toned. Jojoba beads have been specially selected to be ultra kind to the skin – they are tiny spheres which gently exfoliate without scratching and will reveal a smoother, fresher and softer looking skin.
Exfoliating with enzymes is very similar to a chemical peel and works much deeper than our products. We recommend using Cleanse & Polish & Gentle Face Exfoliator as detailed above as the amount of exfoliation is ideal for all skin types without having to resort to harsh acid or enzyme containing products.

Hi Caroline at last i got to read a few blogs & i must share a tip with you, when i am rushed in the mornings, which is most mornings i mix Energising Hip & Thigh Gel into the Body Botanical Cream, this way i am not missing out on it & i find it works.I thought if you can mix all the facial products why not the body products quick & easy, they are so divine as all of Liz Earle products.I now feel comfortable in my skin thanks to Liz Earle.Iwant to thank you & Liz for great tips & also when you are both on QVC,keep up the good work.

Hi
I love using my Liz Earle skincare and use the gentle face exfoliator which helps when I know my skin needs a boost even though my skin is very fragile. I have been listening to various skincare advisors who recommend one type of exfoliation isn’t enough for the skin and I would need an enzyme product to vary the type or renewal f the cells (they say to ‘unstick’ old cells enzymes are needed.)
I don’t want to make my skin even finer than what it is but would appreciate advice on this as I know there isn’t this type of product in the range I trust.
Is the gentle exfoliation with the muslin daily with a weekly product used enough to maintain cell renewal on fragile skin which drinks moisture from products.

Thank you for your comment and we apologise for being unable to offer you our full range through our John Lewis sites. Our John Lewis outlets currently stock a selection of our products and are a convenient way to purchase your ‘daily essentials’. They also have some exclusive kits, and we are looking at extending the range of products available to purchase through their branches in the future. In the meantime the whole range can be purchased via our website, through our Customer Centre by phoning 01983 813913 or in our Duke of York Square store in London and Union, our Isle of Wight store.

We would strongly recommend incorporating the neck into your regular skincare regime. Many of our formulations, including our Skin Repair Moisturisers and Superskin Moisturiser, contain natural source vitamin E for its skin caring benefits which mean softer, smoother skin. Vitamin E is also an anti-oxidant and although it won’t stop ageing, regular application of a moisturiser containing Vitamin E can slow down the signs! We were also thrilled that Skin Repair scored very highly in the 21st Century Beauty Bible as a neck cream, which was a category it hadn’t been entered into, and Jo Fairley, from the Beauty Bible, rated our Superskin Moisturiser highly in You magazine last year.
We would recommend applying your moisturiser to your face and neck twice daily in an upwards direction, applying the cream to the neck with the back of your hand – palm pressure tends to be too firm.

Hi
It was just a query that I have. I love the products and woundered if Liz is thinking about bringing out a cream specifically for the neck area in the future, even though I use the superbalm but would like a neck cream.
